I'm playing this with nexus champion saraad and esportal over loatheb and fallen hero. Decks pretty good. Zoo matchup is abysmal and handlock is dicey, but everything else is even to favorable it feels like. You chew up druid, you can play a long game vs. control decks if they don't apply much press...

Deck seems very strong. One problem I've face when playing with it is that you're actually comically bad against Archamage Anotnidas.

He's right ya know.that's a big step. it's a shame this realization did not come sooner.
It's not even about red. It's just about approaching deck selection with a rational mind and expanding your range.

I actually think tech cards are generally terrible cards in Mid Shaman. The deck is naturally good against control and midrange decks and all the tech cards serve to do is make you weaker against agro; at least in my opinion.

I still prefer harbinger and jeskai charms to rabble/stoke, but I do like the 1 roast as another answer to big guys that can gain you a bunch of life with soulfire.

More then anything, PT tilted me because the two decks me and my 'team' worked on where the best performing decks and I was hoping we could keep that shit under wraps till the GP.
As is, I've tested red and Thopters against everything and thopters wins slightly more with all the tech we added.

Worth noting also, a reasonable amount of players where playing Flip Chandra, specifically the Chechz. It is a card that if it flips is decent in the mirror as it both pressures and controls similar to Pyromaster, but with a higher risk/reward.

I just found that whenever I could cast them, I'd be happier with a burn spell to kill my opponent and the activated ability was at odds with using my mana on other things.

Something non-intuitive that just occurred to me is that since we're running a bunch of searing bloods now, and more temples, it makes a lot of sense to cut the 4th lightning strike for the final wild slash. THIS COULD END UP BEING JUST BAD. But it makes sense in theory and I'm gonna try it out. Als...

I like arc lightning the most because it clears outburst tokens and you can bring it in vs. control.
That and in a pinch it can kill a rabblemaster and a token.

if you worried about mono-red, cards that are great there include:
Arc lightinging
Twin Bolt
Scouring Sands
1 burn spells(magma spray, wild slash, fiery conclusion)
And in the maindeck, you can add more token makers.

RE rabble, I find myself regularly messing with the numbers, but I always keep some number in the deck because routinely there are situations that occur where you just play a rabblemaster and it wins the game.

Chapin did a podcast a while back about his grixis deck and he mentioned that the CoCo matchup was basically unwinnable and for that reason, he suggested adding cards like anger of the gods, damnation, and magma spray to the board. I can attest that resolved Voice of resurgence and kitchen finks res...

Pia and Kia was by far the worst card in the deck when I played.
Rabblemaster is worth running because of how good it is with atarka's command.
I'll post the list I'm testing in a bit.

So yeah, this deck is dirty as fuck. I'm skeptical that Jasper built it right on the first pass, but that only serves to show that it's the truth. Those cards are all bad right now (Deckhand, Van Cleef is always bad, Teacher is bad vs Patron). For RDW, I bring in Twin bolt and Scouring sands(you can play arc lighting over twin bolt if you expect lots of rabblemasters) and I take out Titan's strength. What don't you like about the SB purp? I dislike having 6 weak cards vs control, and only 3 cards to bring in. UB players at my store have 8-10 cards for the matchup. I shit on devotion. Searing blood kills all the dorks and manifest from whisperwood and with all the prowess, it eats coursers that try to block your swiftspears. I actually feel compelled to play hunter cause I'm somehow rank 60 with ~440 wins so gold isn't far off(Undertaker, unleash the hounds and buzzard used to all be broken as shit at one point I guess). Thought's on Eidolon: It's not bad. I'm not the biggest fan of it because It's fairly mediocre to bad on the draw against Devotion and Abzan decks, but it's pretty punishing on the play. My issue with it is that when you get later in the game, it's significantly worse then the 1-drops and abbot. RE:...

RE Purps Deck: Now that I've looked at it again, I can see it is most definitely full-assed, but I still disagree with large chunks of it.
