Right, but the land issue, and this is just my interpretation, there was actually quite a little debate about it in the Commander subforum over on sally for a little while, is this; I play Oracle, I can now play two lands, so I do. Oracle gets removed, and now I play Exploration; with the old rules ...

I have to admit that when I first read about them (around 11pm last night) I had a pretty bad knee-jerk reaction. I can't say I am still thrilled or even happy about them, but it isn't like this is the first time the legend rule has changed. As mostly an EDH player (with a little dabbling in Modern ...

I didn't play, but I was there. I had a lot of fun, but basically ended up spending most of the event out in the hallway playing EDH with a few friends, including some new friends that I knew online but hadn't met in person yet. Was a lot of fun!

Another new card that's pretty is Progenitor Mimic. Being able to copy an Eternal Witness or an Archaeomancer every turn is just degenerate as hell but it's fun to do. I actually don't think it is too degenerate unless you cheat it into play (which is possible with this deck) - it is a fairly coste...

Sorry for the long time responding; @Khaospawn - Yeah, in my playgroup I do win quite a bit. I don't always win, strong control decks can and often do beat me, and if I don't properly address threat levels sometimes things can get away from me. Also, stax can kick my ass pretty hard, as I learned th...

If this game had come out in the hayday of Diablo II, it would have been a much bigger success. In this day and age, we expect more from games in the hack and slash genre. We at least want to see them grow SOMEHOW. I agree with this sentiment; I think the game was specifically designed to be somewh...

My thoughts on why people stop playing it are that it doesn't bring enough new stuff to the genre of hack and slash. It is a really well balanced and well made game that should have been made about seven years ago?

Yeah. About the big skill trees, I mean. I like it too, it was just a little daunting the first time I opened it up and I realized they had a zoom out feature just so you could see it all. A skill tree with a zoom out feature.

Path of Exile?

I almost forgot about this little gem. I beta'd it forever ago, but now I believe they are in open beta, so anyone can join and play. I started up a new character the other day; not sure if I'll have time for it but wondering if anyone else has played? The game is a Diablo clone, but I actually kind...

I played the first few chapters before I got sucked into something else. It is a pretty cool game, but when I started it I had just finished a playthrough in Skyrim where I played a stealth type character. I was reaching a point where I wanted to run in with an axe swinging and you can't really get ...

Krond Sucks

Krond. What can I really say about this guy? He is one of the planechase legends, and probably the least exciting one, and certainly the most underrated one of the bunch. In an effort to give my friend's a chance at winning, as they all tend to play more budget-lists than I currently do, I decided t...

For fun? Making new decks are part of why I got into EDH in the first place. It helped that a few friends of mine go along with what I want and built some too, but even without a steady EDH group you could always find other people willing to play. Singleton formats are fun anyway.

Dragging the conversation back to STWOR, I found out something interesting. You can actually become a preferred account (not exactly sure what all that entails, I know it is better than just being a standard free account) by buying cartell coins; you only have to do this once, and don't have to spen...

Right, and in your case you were coming at it from the opposite direction; I am gathering from what you wrote that you played the third game first, and then went back and played the first two. I played the first two first, then the other games that have since come out. To me a huge part of what made...

There was a group called nomutantsallowed, I used to post there a long time ago, but haven't in a few years. It was before F3 came out. Sometimes shifting to something new works for a game though. When Fallout 3 was being made I was one of those nomutantallowed raging fans that was dead set against a first person shooter setup for a Fallout game. In the end I felt justified because Fallout 3, while somewhat fun, was still nothing li...

Ahhh, yeah. SWTOR may need that for flashpoints, but I haven't felt like I need any support when it comes to the storyline missions and quests. I tend to try and give games the benefit of the doubt, but I have a feeling it is going to end up like DCU or even maybe like STWOR; it'll be explosively popular in the beginning, but taper off sometime later. I agree in part; I don't think the changes are so significant that the game itself feels different from a paying player; honestly a lot of the best differences are purely cosmetic, or, in the case of a few instances, utterly frustrating. I do agree that the game doesn't really feel like an MMO; it f...

So this is sort of free now. You know, free in that sort of way that only frustrates you. I only started playing about a week ago. As a free account you can have a max of two characters, so I made a Jedi Knight and a Bounty Hunter. I think they are both right around level 12. So far the game is a lo...
