That's a guy: has a square face and a a shadow of facial hair (moustache) over the upper lip. T-shirt is curled up in the arms - only guys who want to 'pretend' to have large biceps do this - no girl EVER wants to look like they have big fat arms.

Oh, that's an interesting twist. My first thought was that a vegetarian paleo diet would be a nightmare to control if weight loss were one of your goals, but I know you do yoga so I'm kind of assuming you don't have a lot of excess weight. You do any meal planning? It... kind of goes against the gr...

primal or paleo, anyone?

Hello everyone!

A little background about me: I've got cealiac disease, but just found 4 eyars ago. Since then I've started a primal/paleo diet, but with a twist... I don't eat meat (never have), just some fish and eggs.

Anyone keen to share experiences on this?

Man, this is working out fantastically! Thank you, DJ, it's really helping now that I've found my groove. Granted, I'm still in the "just agile enough to be fun at parties" stage, but I look forward to my 40 min. a night now. Do you found a mantra 'singer' you like? That's awesome. You're...

Lol, it never even occurred to me that commercially available mantras were a thing. :embarrass: I'll give it a shot.
I hope you find a mantra 'singer' you like. ^_^

Do you think it would work for me to use a mantra? I use those in my passive meditation. I teach my classes with some of my favorite mantra 'singers', with a more 'melodic undertone', to get students curious about mantras and to help their movements flow. Some of my personal favorites include Alexi...

Well, I've hit a snag. Even with controlling my breathing, trying to find a peaceful inner place, and all that, I still get kinda bored. Well... Sorry to put it like this... But if you're bored, you're not there yet. Boredom is an emotion. When we're in total sync with our body throught the mind, w...

Okay. I can't join any classes right now, my schedule's too weird for that, but if you want to suggest a place to start I'd certainly be willing to give it the ol' college try. Search for a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance) in your area and do a class. I'm not sponsored by them, I'm ...

I live or the northern edge of Midwest America, outside of any major metropolitan area. Most anything geared towards fitness that isn't anaerobic weight training is geared towards women here. There are worse stigmas in the world though, I figure. You have a point there. But all I'm saying is that y...

1. I obviously read too much into your small comment, I apologize. You seemed to not like the idea of blending sex and money, whereas I think not only should the trade be viable, but lots of crazy stuff too like it shouldn't even be taxed. A miscommunication. I know England and German have a law si...

Well, DJ (Can I call you that?), I'm actually a proponent of legalized prostitution so I doubt we'll find much common ground on where sexual pleasure fits on the wheel of life, but I was most curious about the idea of meditation within an act. Like yoga isn't just exercise or meditation, but both c...

"Character is what you are in the dark," kind of thing? I cannot believe we've gotten this far into the conversation without someone bringing up the Kama Sutra. Thoughts on that? The book of Kama Sutra is not just about sex... 'Kama' in one of the 4 goals or stages in life (from the the r...

Do you not eat beef? Or is it just a religion you like? That's right. I don't eat beef. Nonethelesss I eat some fish and eggs, so I'm not vegetarian. VTES Clan symbol?

Guess not. Misremembered. What is that symbol?
I believe it's the Hindu symbol shanti, symbolizing peace and forbearance.
Nelumbo nucifera + OM (or AUM, Sanskrit sound of Hindu origin)

Why Hello There my Good Chaps!

Hi people, Some of you might remember me from MTGS. Unfortunately, for some strange reason I was recently banned and I wasn't even bitching! So I moved here, hope nobody kicks me out :? . I'll do my best to bend (full backbends :P) to the interesting discussions you'll have around here. Namasté :yoga:
