Swerving Remand to Swerve does NOT give you your Swerve back. It'll be in the graveyard when Remand tries to resolve, and Remand will be countered on resolution. As a permission-light Delver player, the combo matchup is fine. If they don't interact, they're usually dead by turn 4. Taylor Swift kills...

What do you think about Dragon's Claw in the mirror? I understand the card disadvantage aspect of playing the card, and wouldn't dream of bringing in 4 copies, but if I had it in my sideboard and boarded out my Spell Pierces for 2 Dragon's Claws and something relevant, I could see it helping. I just...

Is Burn really bringing in Rain of Gore on the off chance their opponent plays Dragon's Claw? I could see that happening g3, but g2? Molten Rain is an obvious card that has pretty much always been in and out of Delver sideboards. It's good against Tron and Celestial Colonnade decks. I think Dragon's...

1-1 in the Daily after playing Burn twice, and I've caved and added Dragon's Claws to the board. Streaming at http://www.twitch.tv/nezeru Here's the list I'm running right now: [deck] 4 Monastery Swiftspear 4 Delver of Secrets 3 Young Pyromancer 3 Snapcaster Mage 4 Serum Visions 4 Gitaxian Probe 4 T...

You could sideboard into Twin, but the problem is that Twin and Delver tend to have very similar matchups. Another option is sideboarding into Blue Moon, but the problem is that Blue Moon and Delver tend to have very similar matchups. ...Also, I played against a guy who was playing white strictly fo...

I haven't lost a match yet in testing, just won 2-0 over UWR Kiki, which used to be a terrible matchup (at least, I never did well in it). I'm up to 4 Treasure Cruise maindeck, and casting them turns 3 and 5 is not uncommon. Current list: [deck] Creatures: 14 4 Monastery Swiftspear 4 Delver of Secre...

Ankle Shanker is way better against green decks with Hornet Queen, and in an aggressive list with no sac outlets. Here's the core of my list, though it changes almost daily: [deck] Creatures: 19 4 Bloodsoaked Champion 4 Chief of the Edge 4 Goblin Rabblemaster 4 Butcher of the Horde 2 Stormbreath Dra...

This deck is absurd now. Treasure Cruise is terrible against blue Tron, but that was already unfavorable and not popular, so hopefully becoming favored against two bad matchups is worth losing points to a fringe deck. I tested against Jund a lot over the weekend and won every single match. It wasn't...

I've had great results with an Aggro-Midrange hybrid containing Bloodsoaked Champions, Chief of the Edge, Rabblemaster, Butcher, one Ankle Shanker to crush everything green, two Sarkhan, two Stormbreath, three Sorin, four Crackling Doom, and some flex spots. I've been testing singletons of Spear of ...

Just lost 0-2 to Br devo. Double demon gray merchant g1, triple merchant g2. Also got rakdos's returned. At two points in g2 I had him at 1, and if I drew a Mana Confluence or burn on the last turn after the 3rd merchant I would win. He out drew me but I almost could race triple merchant. This burn ...

After seeing the GP Chicago grinder metagame today, I actually decided to add 2 Searing Blood because of all of the aggressive red strategies, also at the recommendation of a good Jund Monsters playtest partner who has won an SCG Open with Monsters, an IQ and some other events. It's actually good ag...

Depends on the matchup, if you need to Chain something it's pretty bad I think. Top 8'd a GPT even though I dropped after the 4th round of 5 in Swiss, that's my accomplishment for today. Punted a match because it was paper and I didn't wait for my Searing Blood to resolve before casting another one ...

I had come to the same conclusion on Banishing Light vs Glare. I kept Helices in for a bad reason and that's how I used them (to kill Nyx-Fleece Ram after it blocked a Flamespeaker/other guy) but Shocks wouldn't have helped...I also did 8 to the face with 2 of them, which would have taken 4 Shocks. ...

Both Jund Monsters and RG brought in 3 copies of Disciple of Nylea. Played an 8-man today and was frustrated. Won vs Junk Constellation 2-0, Jund Monsters 2-1, and lost to Dredge(what?? I know, lost the bye) 1-2. Mistcutter killed me G2 and double Eidolon draw didn't help g3 because I had only one b...

GPT: 2nd
Hey, I played the YP version today in a GPT and finished in 2nd. My matchups were: Round 1: 2-0 vs Twinflame combo deck (Axebane Guardian + Mnemonic Wall + Twinflame + any damage spell or Opportunity) This was very easy and is not worth mentioning really. Round 2: 2-0 vs Bant Aggro (mono-white aggro...

I still have Revel in my maindeck, and in my local meta it's an all star (lots of Dredge decks that lose to it, lots of control decks that lose to it, fair amount of mirrors where it's fine, gets boarded out for Firedancer against some decks which I'm okay with). 3-1'd FNM today, lost to mono black ...

FNM victory
Won FNM today. Will keep this short because I have a major chess tournament tomorrow: Match 1: 2-0 vs GB Dredge. Eidolon of the Great Revel allowed me to kill him turn 4 on the play. Match 2: 2-0 vs MonoU Devotion. Game 1 Eidolon helped me win, I burned his guys and killed him slowly. Game 2 I let h...

Round 2 vs MonoB Devotion (OniiChan) Game 1 turn 1 Mutavault is met by turn 1 Swamp + Thoughtseize taking my Lightning Strike. Round 1 vs All-In Red (RRozanski) Won game 1 with tight play and Chandra's Phoenix, making sure to remove the right creatures at the right time and burn the face when I could afford to. YP did work - he killed it EOT but I Boros Charmed him in response to represent lethal on board and he didn't have...
