I really like the look of Stark's list, going to sleeve it up for my LGS standard tomorrow. Just missing the masteries, but hopefully can trade for them on the night.

Yeah I tried brewing an Athreos version myself a few days ago and was pretty underwhelmed.

Deck overall looks really interesting, it looks cheap to brew so might give it a whirl on MTGO once the FRF cards are freely available

Val, have you considered going Mardu so you can add Athreos?

Saccing a manifested card to Athreos and getting it back in your hand seems like a nice synergy. Also opens up Butcher as a Sac outlet

yeah Eidolon is in the RW list That was one thing I realised after I posted the list, there's no anthem effects in the 75. Eidolon and Spear are both WWx, so no good. Off the top of my head, either Ajani Steadfast or Trumpet Blast could be options. Ajani could be worth trying, as the lifelink could ...

Naya Tokens (WIP)

I've been playing RW tokens recently and really enjoying the deck. Pre-rotation I was playing Pat Cox's White Weenie deck , which then morphed in to Brave Naya . This set me thinking to whether switching to Naya could improve the RW tokens deck. The most obvious card to add is Xenagos, the Reveler ....

I've been thinking about BW warriors myself, Bile Blight seems really well positioned at the moment with all the token decks about and BW warriors feels like the best shell if you want to be a beatdown deck. My 2c: - 8 CITPT lands is a lot when you are looking to curve out, I'd cut some of the barre...

Yes 23 lands would be a bit light for casting Roc on curve. Sam Black and Craig Wescoe both run 24+ lands, so I think it's a safe be that 24 is correct for the stock list. If you want to run 23, then I'd cut Roc completely and bring in something like Swiftspear instead

Primer: RW Tokens

History This deck was originally developed by Craig Wescoe. It's a similar deck to Mardu Midrange, but skewed more towards aggro, with less taplands and a lower curve. The deck is built around generating tokens and comboing them with cards such as Eidolon of Countless Battles and Wingmate Roc. More...

Dauntless: I think "finished" in this context means the core deck (lands, major cards) is finished; same as burn was, some cards are mandatory 4-ofs (YP, phoenix, burn spells) and then you have a few flex slots + sideboard for tweaking vs current meta. If you look at the top 8 I posted, th...

I still think Wingmate Roc is the best option for that slot (over SBD and Phoenix). You can normally trigger raid in game 1, as you have so many token makers (8 main deck). I'll normally side it out in game 2 if I flip to control mode, as you lose a lot of the raid enablers. The lifegain can be rele...

Do you not side out Sorin when you side out Creatures/Outburst? Generally yes. I think it depends how aggro you are going. In the aggro shell I think Crackling Doom is better. I want to be killing Planeswalkers with creatures, rather than wasting a card (you are often getting 2-for-1'd if you Downfall a Nissa, Xenagos or Elspeth). Sometimes you'll get a 2-for-1 yourself with C...

Yeah it's very much a work in progress.

The basic idea is to have enough lifegain to be able to beat rabble/aggro/burn (big worry as so much life loss from the manabase), but to still be aggro enough to kill the ramp decks before they can get going properly

I think he's going for the archetypal grindy Rakdos deck, so the phoenix is slightly better fit (you cast it, they kill it, they have to kill it again or you flip it later on). Deck gameplan appears to be to kill/hand hate your opponent's threats and win on pseudo-card advantage from phoenix / rabbl...

I'm considering playing G/r ramp/devotion post rotation. Strategy basically to ramp in to big threats, ideally some permutation of Xenagos +1, Nykthos/Voyaging Satyr, Nissa +1 to make a huge mana pool, then power out a big Genesis hydra / Polukranos / Hornet Queen / Crater's Claws.
