My list for BotG came out to be very similar to yours, MDU. I had firedancers in the side for awhile but they're definitely solid enough to mainboard. Of course that led to cutting mortars entirely. I'm still tempted to play some number of Chandras but perhaps its not the best answer to UW. I wasn't...

I played the RW Tokens list. Purphoros with Assemble and Elspeth is indeed and obviously very strong. I had the hardest time beating UW. The 4 dragons in the 75 seemed like the only threats I had. The deck didn't push out enough damage before all my big spells got dsphere'd. I like Pedros' idea of r...

I don't have a wealth of knowledge on the matter of esper aggro but I haven't lost to it yet with pyrodragons and boros aggro. Celestial flare and explosive impact are probably uncastable. Renounce the guilds seems alright but I've been able to push through it every time and I'm not sure how good Rt...

Paper + pen is less prone to errors and can let you keep track of mulligans, who's on the play, and known cards in opponent's hands (say if they reveal some cards off garruk). Those tokens are fine - a lot of people use pokemon cards as tokens. They can be the same colored sleeve I believe as long a...

i scrub'd out of the invi. I played pyrodragons and went 2-2 but i feel like the list was very well positioned in the tourney. my friend used my list and 4-0d standard. I played MDU's list that got posted on dailymtg 75/75. I went 7-3 and top 64d with some silly losses. Not that thrilled about the r...

Well the lists are so similar it's hard to pinpoint the differences but essentially, Big Boros attempts to go over the top which better against U/x, G/x, R/x while Pyrodragons attempts to go smaller. Pyrodragons can't go as small as say, boss sligh, and has a hard time pushing through the aforementi...

I've been loving Legion's Initiative over in Big Boros and I'd like to incorporate it into PyroDragon's mainboard. I'm not sure what amount of creatures I need to make a mb LI worth it. It's great with Ash Zealot but its hard to fit her in with YP$ when you're also trying to cram in 13~ spells to tr...

I really liked Chandra because she provided a different angle of a threat. In this deck though, her falter isn't as impressive when our phoenixes and dragons get in regardless. Similarly, Elspeth provides that same planeswalker angle and is just a bit better at killing people and closing out games. ...

@ MDU I definitely like that idea. Chandra is the best card in the deck, in my opinion . I'm glad you said that, after posting on the Big Boros Thread for awhile I was starting to believe that only Johnny_Spike and I saw the value in Chandra. I can't recommend 4x Boros Charms but the Assemble the L...

Hmm my testing went alright. I tested Chandra and Assemble but didn't have time to try Elspeth. I ran horribly versus Esper and Mono Black (1-4 and 0-5). Most of my testing when to Mono U where we ended with like a 55% winrate. Watching MDU's videos and reading lazerburns reports, I'm inclined to th...

Actually it skipped my mind. U/x has way more card advantage over us (even if they are likely to side out Bidents and Thassas). And U/x is enough of a force in standard and for our deck that 1 dedicated sb slot is worth it.

I was a huge fan of 1 Rod / 2 Last Breath package but Rod only hits Mono U and even in that, it only effectively hits MoW. MoW is a problem but not nearly as much of a problem it was with the Pyro lists. I agree with LP that we can cut the Rod possibly for more B/x hate. I'm also not opposed to addi...

In your SBP, your +/- numbers are uneven for Esper and U/W. I came to a lot of the same sideboard plans as you but I won't be testing till tomorrow. Just an idea, maybe Boros Reckoner isn't that bad against U/W Control. Maybe it's high casting cost is the drawback but it dodges Last Breath. It is re...

yeah I'll have to see how popular Esper is this weekend. It's not ideal, but I'd be satisfied with a very strong G2/G3 against U/x Control but I'm not sure if my current SB can do that. Examples of Good Pros: Most Japa...
