Played BTE Red to disappointing 2-2 tonight.

Round 1: Esper Control 1-2
Round 2: Devotion Red 1-2
Round 3: Budget Esper Control 2-0
Round 4: Devotion Red 2-0

Nothing much to add, feels like I am stuck in a rut.

Could not get the RB variant to perform to my liking (if only the list it would perform as good as it looks...), so taking BTE Red to the Wednesday tournament. I am expecting lots of mono red and mono black, so Emily is definately better date than Ashley tomorrow.

We got GR/Naya/GW ramp and midrange in our meta and I like the blades against them. But now I feel it's the mono red that's giving me more trouble so testing the mixture of removal over the weekend.

@Elricity: I like hammer against control because of the haste it gives. And like you said, whip might be too slow against mono red decks. Changing 2 mortars into 2 flames might be good, though. Then I can kill emissary & firefist/satyr with one card.

RB is so bad against straight mono red

Got any tips for the matchup, zem? Or is it just hoping they don't have too many emissaries?

Looks great actually. I'd be bringing in Dreadbore against MonoB as well since clearing away a Desecration Demon or Merchant and getting to add to the board in the same turn is a huge game.
